First Edition Legacy Label, B-747 G-CIVC Edition – Aero Craft Creations is proud to introduce the Legacy Label Collection, supplied by Special Brand Spirits, with a launch release dedicated to one of aviation’s greatest icons: the Boeing 747.
This 12-year-old Speyside single malt has been matured in oak and finished in sherry cask, then bottled at 55.4% ABV, cask strength. The result is a bold yet balanced whisky, crafted to honour the heritage it represents.
On the nose, it is undoubtedly cask strength, with scents of toffee, dates, and honey. On the palate, a quick hit of sherry sweetness gives way to light fruity notes, offering both richness and freshness. Followed by a rich, medium-length finish with subtle woody undertones, leaving a warm and refined impression.
Each bottle is finished with our UK-patented, laser engraved Legacy Label, inset with an authentic piece of preserved aluminium from Boeing 747-436 G-CIVC. This aircraft entered service with British Airways in 1996, serving until its retirement in 2020. By carrying this fragment of history, each bottle becomes more than a spirit—it becomes a piece of the Queen of the Skies.
Only 36 bottles of this Scotch release will ever exist, making it a true collector’s item. While future expressions may explore G-CIVC in other forms, this is the singular whisky edition from this aircraft.
Presentation – Each bottle is housed in a purpose-built stainless steel display case, foam-lined in black to ensure protection and presentation. The case is fitted with an acrylic sliding-lid window, allowing the bottle to be viewed or displayed while safely enclosed.
A bespoke pourer is included with every release, completing the serving experience. Each bottle is accompanied by a Certificate of Provenance, verifying the authenticity of the aircraft fragment preserved within the Legacy Label.
